At United Plant, we are keen to offer charitable support for those that need it, especially within our local communities. This week, our fantastic team at our Cannock head office have brought in food supplies for Cannock and District Foodbank.
Food banks provide emergency food supplies to people who need it most. They rely entirely on donations of food and money, both from the public and from businesses and schools. Sadly, those needing a food bank service has dramatically increased this year and as such the team wanted to support Cannock and District Foodbank by giving a donation that will help to support families over the Christmas period.
Pictured here is Lisa Sheppard, Business Support Manager and Erin Brewster, Field Service Support, who have helped to organise the food collection from the United Plant team. The supplies include a wide variety of items such as practical tinned goods, along with festive chocolates and biscuits.
The coronavirus pandemic has put immense pressure on food banks across the UK. Many are struggling to meet the soaring demand, as more people are finding themselves without work. As such, food bank charities need our support now more than ever and every little helps. Well done team!
