Five years ago, United Plant commenced its new ownership with Briggs Equipment. Today we are celebrating the strength of parentage and reflecting on our journey together.
“Over the past five years, United Plant has been on an extraordinary journey of growth, resilience and service delivery. What began as a vision, has transformed into a remarkable national engineering and asset management business, showcasing our commitment and passion for our industry. Throughout this period, United Plant has not only expanded its size and coverage but has evolved profoundly, embracing change – whilst remaining agile in our customer approach – as our opportunity to excel. From innovative asset solutions to forging invaluable partnerships, each step forward in our journey has been testament to our dedication and forward-thinking ethos,” says Greg Mulhearn, Managing Director.
Having a financially strong parent company, like Briggs Equipment, provides stability and support, with financial resources and expertise to drive growth. As a robust and unique parent, this gives access to greater capital and resources, resulting in ongoing investment and the ability to strategically expand and innovate. The ownership has driven a more resilient and competitive environment, enabling United Plant to thrive and grow, even in challenging circumstances, such as the COVID pandemic.
Says Gavin Wickham, Group Engineering Services Director at Briggs Equipment, “recognising the five-year anniversary since the acquisition of United Plant, is important. Their growth is not just about numbers, it is a narrative of success over challenges, as we have aligned together, working strategically to build a strong performing business, embedding a solid safety culture, and instilling customer relationships at its core – a testament to the collective efforts of every individual within the company.”
Adam Alderson, Group Finance and Strategic Planning Director at Briggs Equipment was part of the initial acquisition team. “Embarking on the strategic acquisition of United Plant, the opportunity to infuse their passion into a thriving venture, was clearly evident. With harmonious synergies, we believed in the growth opportunity and could help drive its transformative journey. It has been a strong five-year partnership and we look forward to what the future holds for United Plant,” says Adam.
So, as we mark this milestone, thanks go to Briggs Equipment for their continuing support, thank you to our customers and supply chain as we continue our journey together. Importantly, special thanks go to our team, who are a testament to what can be achieved through an unwavering drive towards excellent service.
