We are delighted to announce the appointment of Barry Kinnon to the role of Compliance Manager and SHEQ Lead.

As Safety, Health, the Environment and Quality, shape this specialist industry, the ability to offer a dedicated, experienced resource across these areas is crucial. This new role will drive the company’s philosophy for zero harm through its Health and Safety policy, whilst embedding its safety culture across the “Think Safe. Be Safe. No Compromise’ initiative which the company launched in July last year; demonstrating the importance United Plant places on the safety of people.

“In this key role, Barry will be responsible for promoting and driving a positive SHEQ culture across the United Plant business, whilst supporting our employees through day to day advice on all SHEQ matters. He will be accountable for business wide SHEQ related policies and procedures, ensuring we are delivering the best service and advice to employees and our customer group. He will also support strategic activities within the Customer Compliance Offering.” Said Greg Mulhearn, Managing Director.

Barry has a wealth of experience in the industry and has worked for United Plant for over eleven years, undertaking key roles which have held responsibility for Health and Safety. Having spent fifteen years at Cummins he has also previously worked for Terex Equipment.

People are at the heart of everything we do, so we have a safety strategy with people at its core, which Barry will continue to drive forward, embedding compliance and a safe working culture as we continue to drive our business forward.”
