We are pleased to announce the appointment of David Hardy into the role of Asset Manager for the North.  

With vast industry experience and an in-depth understanding of customer needs, David takes responsibility for the management and development of a key customer group. Having a solid engineering background and full commitment to service delivery, David is an integral part of our national asset management team. 

“A warm welcome goes to David, who joins us in this key service delivery role. David is managing the North and will be working proactively with individual sites and our management team, to provide a leading asset management solution.” says Keith Holland, Contracts Manager. 

David began his career as an apprentice 1996 with H. Leverton and then became a Field Service Engineer covering open cast coal mine steel works. He subsequently became a resident engineer for Tarmac – overhauling, maintaining and repairing all their equipment. His industry knowledge comes from over 20 years overseas experience – managing mobile maintenance operations on open pit gold/copper mines, rebuild centres and field service branches. David also championed the first ever ‘Caterpillar 5-star Contamination Control Award’ in Laos, taking the facility from a 2-star to a 5-star rating (in a developing country and with only a handful of mine sites in the world securing 5-star status). David’s accolade was securing the retention of these 5-star awards across parts, repair and rebuild shops.

“I am delighted to join the United Plant team and will be ensuring that we are working in collaboration with our customer to keep asset productivity high, whilst driving operating costs down” concludes David.
