As part of the senior management team, this role is instrumental across our business, our customer group, and the industry.  You will be empowered to shape and influence our SHEQ (health and safety, quality and environmental) strategy, whilst being supported by our strong parent company, Briggs Equipment.

You will be responsible for driving a positive SHEQ culture within United Plant, whilst supporting colleagues with daily advice on all related SHEQ matters. Aligning with our parent strategy, you will develop business wide SHEQ policies and procedures, supporting the company to meet all legal requirements and continued compliance with company policies, ISO standards and other accreditations. 

As an integral team member, you will work closely with the management team and engineering regions to provide high quality advice and coaching on all health and safety, quality, and environmental related matters.

Strong communication skills are essential.  You will engage with customers, suppliers, contractors, regulatory bodies, and other interested parties on related SHEQ matters.

We are seeking a forward-thinking individual who can assist in moving our business forward. You must have proven experience within the aggregates/quarrying industry.

NCRQ Diploma, NEBOSH Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety Management required. You must also be a Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH).
