Today marks the start of ‘Anti Bullying Week’ (14-18 November). Here, at United Plant we are committed to creating a solid foundation through a culture with clear behaviours. Therefore, supporting the anti-bullying campaign is very important to us.
Bullying can happen anywhere at any time. It is not confined to a specific environment, so whether you work in an office or out on-site, you can be faced with bullying behaviour. It affects millions of lives and can leave a feeling of hopelessness or extreme frustration. But it doesn’t have to be this way. If we challenge it, we can change it, which starts by reaching out.
United Plant endorse the ability to ‘reach out’ and take our responsibility for employee welfare extremely seriously.
- Reach out to someone you trust if you need to talk.
- Reach out if you know someone who is being bullied.
- Reaching out can lead to a new approach and a happier solution.
As a values driven company, our values are embedded to ensure that we have a common understanding on how we interact with each other, as colleagues, and with our customer and supplier group. During anti-bullying week let us take a moment to reflect on our behaviour to ensure we continue to set positive examples and create a considerate work environment.
