So, today is week two of Movember. Here we look at the commitment of Mark Harrison, Asset Manager (South) for United Plant, who is joining in the campaign.

Mark has committed to MOVE this Movember and is planning to walk a staggering 300km over the month. As a keen walker, Mark aims to walk most days, to keep fit both mentally and physically.

Says Mark, “When I’m not out on-site, my normal routine is 5am into my home office to start work, 6.30am out for a walk, 8am return home and back to work. If time allows, I’ll have another walk around 3.00pm to our local village. I live in a valley between two national parks so it’s a pleasure to soak up the scenery.”

Mark has set a steep target of completing a minimum of 300km by November 30th. That’s 10km a day, over the month (hopefully!) He has invested in a pedometer which will support his proof of what he achieves – well done Mark for setting yourself such a hard personal challenge! 😊

Pictured here, from one of Marks morning walks, is the sight across the M5 to the Herefordshire border, with Clent Hill in the background. So that the weather doesn’t prevent him from getting out, Mark has a contingency of a cross trainer at home, to keep up the distance target.
