Last Wednesday, John Hindle, Service Controller at United Plant, underwent a “brave the shave”, in aid of Breast Cancer Now.
John was supporting his colleague Louise Joyce, who has been embarking on a ‘swim 10 miles’ challenge in aid of the Breast Cancer Now charity.
Following a diagnosis and treatment for breast cancer at the age of 41, back in 2019, the charity is close to Louise’s heart. The donation will help support the charity in the vital work that it does, during this difficult time for people who are affected.
John and Louise work together at the Cannock head office and inspired by Louise’s commitment, John decided to show his support by shaving off all of his hair in return for donations from fellow colleagues.
So far Louise has secured a fabulous £810 for Breast Cancer Now – what a fantastic effort.
Should you wish to donate to the charity there is still time to do so, https://www.facebook.com/donate/1017993505609641/
